The Bernick Family Foundation, supported by the Central Minnesota Community Foundation, awarded $25,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota to support their capital project “We Are On The Move,” which includes relocation and renovation of a new office space.
The relocation provides Big Brothers Big Sisters with the ability to designate more resources towards their mentoring program. In addition, the new facility is home to other youth-serving programs and amenities which will provide opportunities for collaboration and onsite programming.
Big Brothers Big Sisters has named their meeting room the Bernick’s Conference Room in recognition of this significant contribution.
The Bernick Family Foundation was established as a component of the Central Minnesota Community Foundation in 1989 to help Bernick’s and the Bernick Family support organizations that reflect the family’s core values, while providing leadership in responding to emerging community needs. Jason Bernick, Bernick’s Director of Corporate Affairs, served as a Big Brother in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and recently reconnected with his “Little Brother“.
