The 3nd Annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Golf Tournament will be held on June 1, 2009, at St. Cloud’s Territory Golf Club. Plan to be part of one of the first tournaments of the season, with all proceeds going to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters and the children of central Minnesota. Take Me Out to the Ball Game

Join us July 30th as we take a bus to the Metrodome to cheer on our Minnesota Twins! The bus will leave Discovery Elementary at 4:45 pm for the 7:00 game against the Chicago White Sox. We will stop in Elk River to pick up and drop off Sherburne County matches. We will leave the Metrodome at 10:00 pm. The cost is $8 per person, which will reserve your ticket and a seat on the bus. Money must be mailed or dropped off before hand to reserve your seat. Spots are limited, so sign up as soon as possible. This is Dollar Dog night, so be sure to bring money for dinner.

Summer Picnic
On Tuesday, August 12th, we will have our annual summer picnic. The picnic will be from 5:30-7:00 at Kiffmeyer Park, 23380 Co. Rd. 7, in St. Augusta. Please join us for an evening of fun, games, and food. The picnic will be a potluck, and BBBS will provide hot dogs and beverages. We will have organized games and fun. Please call or email your Case Manager or the office to let us know if you are coming. When you RSVP, please let us know what you plan on bringing to share for the potluck. Hope to see you there!

Annexstad Family Foundation Scholarship Informational Meeting

On Tuesday, August 19, at 6:00 pm at the Big Brothers Big Sisters office, we will offer an informational meeting regarding the Annexstad Family Foundation Scholarship. This is a four-year, renewable scholarship that provides support for deserving young men and women who have matured as “Littles” through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. By combining resources from the Annexstad Family Foundation and the specific college or university, the program’s goal is to assure funds for tuition, fees, room, board, and books. Any former or current “Little” who is in 10th grade or above is encouraged to attend along with his/her parent/guardian. If you are unable able to attend, please let Ann know and she will make arrangements to meet with you at a different time.
